Review: "The Guardians" by Mandy M. Roth

*ARC GIVEN TO BLOG FOR HONEST REVIEW*

About the Book:

Butt-kicking Guardian, Madelyn Mason, is the only female in a sea of supernatural males. College student by day, she spends her nights fighting for mankind--the innocents, the ones who have no clue that the things of nightmares walk among the living.

Larger than life Hollywood hunk, Brady Devens, has wont he hearts of millions of adoring fans. But the only heart he wants to win is that of his mate, Madelyn. She hasn't shown any interest in him as anything more than a friend, and he's beginning to think the Powers That Be goofed.

In this world of magik, mishap, demons, gods, and pleasure nymphs, anything is possible. Can they find a love that transcends time and space or will the Powers That Be decide maybe they weren't destined for one another after all?

 My Review:

I gave this book 4 stars. It was fun, the characters were captivating and entertaining, and the book in general kept my attention long enough to finish in just a couple of days, even with my busy schedule. :)

Madelyn (Mads or Maddy, if you will) was a pretty awesome heroine! She has magik, controls weather (even though she doesn't know it yet), controls four guys that make up gods, demons, kings, and guardians, and is amazing at what she does, even if it does threaten her life on a daily basis.

Brady is the perfect guy, but he can be pretty stubborn, which is why he and Maddy are so right for each other. They butt heads but have a chemistry like no other. He's a king, an obvious hunk, a great actor though he has no chemistry with any of the actresses he films with, and is an all-around sweet guy, even if I wanted to change his channel because he refused to listen. :)

This book kept me on my toes. I'd start reading a section, think I knew exactly what was going on, and BAM! I was completely off! Definitely a must read if you enjoy vampires, lycans, werewolves, magik, or just paranormal in general.
